AIDA Freediving New Zealand Pool Nationals 2021 : Cancelled
AUT Millennium , Auckland, New Zealand.19 - 21 November 2021 - : 3/10/21

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 restrictions, it has become clear that we cannot run Nationals this year and have made the decision to cancel the event and allow people time to manage any travel and accommodation arrangements.
This is very disappointing for all the judges, safety team, volunteers and our athletes. FNZ have already started the discussions on running some competitions next year and potential formats.
We would like to take the opportunity to thank our Sponsors and Supporters for their ongoing support.
Auckland Freediving Club are proud to host the Freediving New Zealand Pool Nationals at the Sir Owen G. Glenn National Aquatic Centre, AUT Millennium, Auckland.
The competition will comprise three sessions over three days: Friday 19 November Statics (STA), Saturday 20 November morning Dynamic with Fin (DYN) in the 50m Main Pool, Sunday 21 November morning will be Dynamic No Fins (DNF) in the 25m Main Pool.
There will be a recreation grade available for those new to competitive freediving. Divers in the recreation grade will compete in the same disciplines, but with relaxed rules and against other recreation grade divers. These dives will not be eligible for international ranking, but will appear on the Freediving New Zealand Recreational Grade Ranking on the Freediving New Zealand website. The competition is AIDA ranked, but it does NOT have world record status.
The Entire Competition will be on Auckland’s North Shore at:
Owen Glenn National Aquatic Centre
17 Antares Place, Mairangi Bay, Auckland, New Zealand
